So...a post during exams...

I just finished my English exam.
(That's funny. I started typing this yesterday. I just finished my Geometry exam... So it's a post...after exams.)
English is (erm...was) my best subject.
That 'was' did not refer to the exam. In my opinion, the exam  was easy. It is my best subject, it's just not my highest grade. Surprisingly, my highest grade was my worst subject.
But that's not the point...
The point of this post is that I really enjoy the word 'supercilious.' Or any word in general for that matter. I guess, I just have a passion for words.
(It is always a plus that sometimes your friends have to ask you what you just said...because they didn't understand. Or, when a person says something in four words and you say it in one)
How did this topic come about? Well...there was a heck of a lot of vocabulary on the English test...and supercilious was one of them.
So...I've decided to try and create a list of my favorite words...ever...(this is going to get complicated. I can see it already...)
P. Meggy's list of awsom words
supercilious: (adj.) haughtily disdainful or contemptuous
mugwump: (n.) a person who is neutral on controversial issue.
popinjay: (n.) a person given to vain, pretentious displays and empty chatter
brazen: (adj.) shameless or impudent
veritable: (adj.) true; genuine
arcanum: (n.) a secret; mystery
plucky: (adj.) having or showing courage
macabre: (adj.) gruesome and horrifying
blithe: (adj.) carefree and lighthearted
ambrosial: (adj.) exceptionally pleasing to taste or smell
caterwaul: (v.) to make a harsh cry or screech
eccentric: (adj.) unconventional and slightly strange
retrograde: (adj.) moving backward
dwindle: (v.) waste away
sobriquet: (n.) a nickname

The list could go on...
but I think I'll go ahead and stop.
OMGG, I just realized...I forgot about Friday Fifteen!!!

  1. I recognize a few of those words from algebra II class last year..... haha and this also sounds like a conversation we've had when I said I had pooped a rainbow because of my exultation.
